Welcome to POMBC Library
As the Librarian, I am pleased to welcome you to the POMBC Library, a place dedicated to learning, research, innovation, and academic excellence.
The POMBC Library plays an important role in supporting the teaching and learning needs of our students, lecturers, and staff. We are committed to providing quality information resources and services that promote knowledge, independent learning, and lifelong education.
We are committed to providing you with access to a rich collection of books, journals,
digital resources, and research tools, alongside a dedicated team ready to assist you. Beyond
being a place for study, the library is a community space where curiosity is encouraged,
knowledge is shared, and creativity thrives.
I encourage all students and staff to make full use of the Library and its resources. Whether you are conducting research, completing assignments, or seeking to expanding your knowledge, the library is here to support your academic journey.

POMBC Library Services
The POMBC Library is a portal of information and knowledge for all young adults and professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge in their field of study. The POMBC physical library houses more than 4,000 books and other informative resources aligned with the college’s curriculum to ensure academic success for its users.
The POMBC Library Policy sets clear guidelines to ensure services are delivered efficiently. It outlines users’ rights and responsibilities, ensuring compliance with laws such as the PNG Constitution, the Copyright & Neighboring Rights Act 2022, the Classification of Publications Act 1999, and the Censorship Act. This policy helps protect resources and promotes responsible use of information within the library.
The Library is established to develop students and academic staff into independent, confident, and effective users of information. These information management skills are integral to academic achievements, and to creating responsible participation in the use of information for lifelong learning. The POMBC Library will provide access to materials in a variety of formats, instruction in use, and promote appreciation of reading.
ACCESSING LIBRARY FACILITIES AND RESOURCES
- The POMBC Library is open to all users.
- All users are invited to enjoy electronic resources while in the library building. Please note that access to some resources may be restricted due to embargoes or specific license agreements, contractual, or legislative requirements.
- To ensure a positive experience for everyone, the librarian may occasionally adjust the use of facilities and resources for certain users.
- We kindly ask that all users respect the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act 2002 when using any copying, printing, or recording equipment in the Library.
- Please remember to properly reference any information downloaded for academic work.
- Our library is open from Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 3:45pm, and on Friday from 9:00am to 3pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday, and look forward to welcoming you during our open hours.
