Diploma in Human Resource Management

The Diploma in Human Resource Management at Port Moresby Business College is a two-year program designed to develop competent HR professionals.

The first year establishes a solid business baseline through foundational subjects: Introductory Accounting, Business Mathematics, Personality Development for Workplace, Fundamentals of Information Systems, Business Statistics, Business Communication, Principles of Economics, and Principles of Management.

The second year provides deep specialization in advanced organizational strategy and core human resource functions through the following subjects: Introduction to HRM, Strategic Management, Labour & Employment Relations, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Compensation Management, Advanced HRM, Strategic Human Resource Management, Performance Management, Recruitment, Selection and Placement, and Human Resource Law in PNG.

By combining academic theory with local industry applications, this program prepares graduates to manage workforce challenges, foster productive labour relations, and support strategic organizational goals.
